Movie Africa was established in 1987 by Socrate Safo - Trained in The Radio Netherlands Training Center, Hillversum - The Netherlands

Till date the company has produced over 100 feature films on video, which includes productions like Step Dad, Ghost Tears, Satan’s Wife, One Flesh, What Men Do and many more. TV Commercials, Music Videos, TV Series and Documentaries, most of which has been shown in International Film Festivals in Burkina Faso, South Africa, Italy, Togo, etc.

Most of our productions have also been aired on International Television Channels like Sankofa TV, Salto TV both in Amsterdam - Holland, TV Africa in South Africa, Multichoice (MNet), etc.

Currently running a free training program for the youth in film making, Socrate Safo was giving an award by the Togolese Ministry of Youth and Culture for his contribution to the youth in cinema in West Africa in November 2003.

Socrate Safo is a member of the National Anti Piracy Committee on Audio Visual of the Copyright Board of Ghana and an Executive Member of the Film Producers Association of Ghana.
